Last spring I was assigned by Yankee Magazine to shoot a portrait of Tim Byrne, owner of Get Back, Inc. I mentioned him in my last post and thought Get Back deserved its own. He started a vintage industrial furniture business that scours the country for salvagable pieces and brings them back to life. He has a massive warehouse in Waterbury, CT where he and his staff work on and sell his furniture and decorative objects.

I could have spent days shooting here, there’s so much to see. Much of it I had no idea what it started out as, rescued from long shuttered factories. Makes me happy that it’s all being recycled.

  1. Chris says:

This reminds me of the stuff at Restoration Hardware.
We got our living room lamps there.

  2. Very similiar…RH copies industrial furniture, Get Backs stuff is the real deal. It’s a very cool place.
