What’s better than ice cream in summer? Ok, a few things maybe but not much. I was tasked recently with shooting an ice cream feature for Connecticut Magazine’s June issue. The common link was that they all made their own on the premises, sometimes from their own cows milk. I have my favorites…coffee and toasted almond from Sweet Claude’s and for sentimental reasons Salem Valley Dairy (every beach trip with my son ended with a stop there on our way home). And btw, not one person said no when I asked to photograph them…maybe it was the free ice cream!
